Lea is originally from Tucson, Arizona, but has come to us more recently from Northwestern Arkansas where she was teaching English as a Second Language to international students. Her first experience with teaching came when she was living in Santiago, Chile, after finishing her B.A. in International Studies at the University of Arizona. Upon returning from Chile, she completed her M.A. in English Language/Linguistics, while teaching introductory Spanish at the university, and ESL in an adult education program. Now in California, she is very happy to be part of the Cal Teach team, working in a role that supports those starting out in the teaching profession.
