Lorrie has been a math teacher at Harbor High in Santa Cruz since 1994. The year before that she taught one year of middle school math. Right out of college Lorrie was a pharmaceutical sales representative for several years until she started a family. Lorrie then earned a math credential with a supplementary in biology. Sales was fun and staying home with the kids was sweet, but she has found her passion as a teacher. Lorrie has opened her classroom to many programs, including Cal Teach interns and student teachers. She has served the greater math community in multiple leadership roles as well as sometime department head . For fun she likes to garden, entertain, ride bikes around Wilder Ranch or hang out for coffee at the ABBEY. Lorrie currently teaches the Cal Teach 1 math seminar for Fall and Winter 09-10.
