Pat was the Director of the Santa Cruz Outdoor Science School for the Santa Cruz County Office of Education, a 5th and 6th grade residential science school, for three years. Prior to this, Pat was the PE teacher for three elementary schools in the Santa Cruz City Schools District for 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Also, Pat is the Coordinator for CREEC (California Regional Environmental Education Community) Network for region 5 (Santa Cruz, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Clara counties). As coordinator, Pat works to network quality environmental-based education to k-12 classroom teachers. Pat also worked for fourteen years for the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School, serving two of those years as the Associate Program Director of the Sierra Program. He earned his bachelors degree at Cal State University Monterey Bay, his teaching credential from the same institution and his masters degree from University of San Francisco. Pat likes animals, is fond of backpacking and rock climbing, and can be found baking treats for his wife, himself and others just about every week.
