Cal Teach provides undergraduate advising for students exploring and preparing for middle and high school math and science teaching careers.  During the academic year drop-in advising is available in Thimann 367. Typically the office is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Feel free to drop by or to make an appointment.

We have information on UCSC's STEM Education minor, Biology B.A. - Bioeducation Track, Earth Sciences B.S. - Science Education track, and Physics Education major (also see links to left), scholarships and loan forgiveness programs (see Resources page for more info), taking the CBEST and CSET, and applying to credential programs.

Appointments can be scheduled via email to calteach@ucsc.edu or by calling 831-459-2226.

Note that to declare a STEM Education minor, you need to go to the Eduction department on the 2nd floor of Social Sciences 1 (after having declared your major), and to declare one of the education-related majors, you need to visit Physical and Biological Sciences Undergraduate Affairs/Advising (down the hall from Cal Teach on the 3rd floor of Thimann Labs).
