Vivian has been a mathematics teacher at Watsonville High School since 1979. She has taught 7th grade mathematics through Calculus. Vivian has hosted student interns since the inception of the Cal Teach program and has been a cooperating teacher for student teachers as well. Many of her former students have gone on to become teachers, including several who are now mathematics teachers. She says that teaching is one of the most powerful and rewarding aspects of her life. As a Cal Teach instructor, she shares her enthusiasm for the teaching profession and enjoys supporting young people as they decide whether they, too, will find fulfillment in teaching. Vivian currently teaches the Cal Teach 2 math and Cal Teach 2 math/science seminar courses.
