Barbara has over 26 years of experience in teaching mathematics, most recently at Watsonville High School where she held many leadership roles, including Mathematics Department Chair. Throughout her teaching career, Barbara served as a mentor teacher to many prospective teachers, some of whom now teach in the area and participate with Cal Teach as host teachers. In 2002, Barbara began her work here at UCSC, serving as the Coordinator for UCSC’s California Math and Science Teacher program. This successful program has since merged with Cal Teach, and Barbara currently teaches the Cal Teach 2 math seminar course.
