Sherri was born and raised in Santa Cruz County and has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Humboldt State University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.  She has been a middle school science teacher since 2000 and holds a Masters and Administrative Credential from San Jose State University.  Currently Sherri teaches science and serves as the Science Department chair at Mission Hill Middle School where she has been a host teacher for many UCSC students from various programs, including Cal Teach.  Her most significant teaching experience- being a parent!
