**Unfortunately, the grant that funded these internships ended in 2011. We will not be offering the internships in summer 2012** Summer Internships Cal Teach is offering paid internships in summer 2011 for first and second year UCSC or community college students majoring in math, science, or engineering. Although most successful applicants will be new to Cal Teach, we may accept one or two students who have completed CaT1. Summer participants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents due to grant requirements.
You must be available Monday through Friday full-time for six weeks during the program dates (June 13-July 29), as well as on three Saturdays for the workshops. How to Apply Applications for summer 2011 can be downloaded here:
Please submit 1. the application, 2. the recommendation form, and 3. a copy of your unofficial college transcripts anytime between now and the deadline. Applications can be submitted via e-mail to calteach@ucsc.edu, in person to our office in Thimann Labs room 367 (there is also a drop box outside), or by campus or U.S. mail to: Cal Teach, Physical and Biological Sciences Dean's Office, University of California, Santa Cruz, CA 95064. If you would like to be considered for the housing stipend, please also submit: 4. A pdf or hard copy of your SAR from your FAFSA.
