INFORMATION FOR UCSC STAFF

Cal Teach offers paid K-12 internships for math, science and engineering majors who are interested in exploring math or science teaching as a possible career. Cal Teach also provides undergraduate advising, opportunities for professional development as well as resources for students interested in a career in teaching.

Eligible students must be undergraduates planning to complete a degree in math, science (including environmental studies) or engineering and must have an interest in teaching math or science at the secondary level.  A student may begin Cal Teach participation during the freshman year, but the program serves upperclass and transfer students as well.

For the 2008-2009 academic year, internships for students new to Cal Teach will be offered in the fall and winter quarters. Please see the Internships section of our website to download the application.
